Export Classification

The Icarus One Portable In-Flight Entertainment System has been classified as EAR99 under the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), 15 CFR Parts 730-774, based on a self-classification review conducted in accordance with the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) guidance set forth in 15 CFR 774, Supplement No. 4.

As an EAR99-classified product, the Icarus One is eligible for export to most destinations worldwide without an individual export license.

Compliance Program

Denied Party and Restricted Entity Screening
All prospective customers, end-users, and intermediaries are screened against U.S. Government restricted party lists prior to sale, including the BIS Entity List, Denied Persons List, Unverified List, and the OFAC Specially Designated Nationals and Consolidated Sanctions Lists.

End-Use and End-User Verification
Each export transaction is evaluated to confirm that the product will be used for its intended commercial purpose — in-flight passenger entertainment — and that the end-user and destination do not trigger additional licensing requirements under the EAR.

Embargoed and Sanctioned Destinations
Icarus IFE Systems does not export to comprehensively embargoed or sanctioned destinations where prohibited by U.S. law.

Military End-User Screening

For sales to foreign government and military customers, Icarus IFE Systems performs enhanced due diligence in accordance with the military end-user and military end-use provisions of 15 CFR 744.21. This includes evaluation of the specific end-user, end-use, and destination country to determine whether additional licensing requirements apply.

We welcome inquiries from government and defense procurement offices and are prepared to provide end-user documentation as required.

Recordkeeping

All export classification documentation, screening records, and transaction records are retained for a minimum of five years in accordance with 15 CFR Part 762.
